With the economic slowdown weighing more on Europe, the ECB decided to hold its interest rates at a seven-year high of 4.25%. Here are some world interest rates as a point of comparison.

On the news, the US Dollar is up against the Euro.
The global economic slowdown is also weighing on retailers this morning with disappointing numbers from Walmart (WMT) and Target (TGT). 61% of 33 retailers reported worse than expected numbers in same store sales.
