LOUISA BOJESEN
Anchor, CNBC

Louisa Bojesen is a presenter on Squawk Box Europe, alongside Geoff Cutmore and Steve Sedgwick, reporting on financial markets from London. In addition, Bojesen reports for CNBC (U.S.), CNBC Asia, NBC and MSNBC. She has been with CNBC since 2000.

Apart from interviewing CEOs and industry experts in the studio, Bojesen is equally active on the global business scene. She has a keen interest in the Middle East, and has covered the World Economic Forum for the Middle East over the past couple of years. Here she hosted the televised Middle East Debates out of Sharm El-Sheikh and Jordan, moderated panels on the Middle East for the World Economic Forum and interviewed top business, political, and government leaders out of the region.

In addition, Bojesen has covered the World Mobile Congress live out of Cannes and Barcelona for 6 years running (where she also hosted the prestigious GSM Awards Ceremony in Cannes), she reported on the foiled transatlantic bomb from outside of Heathrow, and she has regularly covered market moves from trading floors.

Bojesen is a very active speaker and moderator. Her long list includes chairing panels and being Master of Ceremonies at The World Money Show, hosting numerous Pan European Investor Relations Awards and she regularly speaks at a wide range of engagements ranging from the London Stock Exchange to financial institutions. She also writes for several publications.

During 2008, Bojesen decided to spend her spare time focussing on climate change and its devastating effects on Africa. She facilitated a trip to Ghana, through Concern Universal, a non-profit charity. The result can be seen in a documentary that aired on CNBC.

“Business with a personality”, "Energy", and "Lively" are all words that have been used to describe Bojesen's style, and she is recognized by her warm and humorous approach to business news. On a good day, she is known to make the people she interviews feel comfortable and at home ("Forget about the cameras, just look at me and pretend I'm your mother").
