Outrage of the Day: AIG's Mystery Bailout Cash and Hey, How About Some Empathy?
In a special edition 'Outrage of the Day,' Cramer has not one, but two gripes on his mind: one personal and one business, which is the one he decides to start with, since "we're not about making friends on this show, we're about making money."

HP: No Pin Action, But Still Packs a Punch
As Cliff Mason noted earlier today, Cramer likes to talk about "pin action" a lot -- the effect that one company's good fortune usually has on other, related companies (parts manufacturers, for example). The key word, however, is "usually." In the disastrous market we have these days, you can't even depend on this pin action any more.

Market Condition: Critical!
You could hear the screams on Wall Street (and perhaps a few sighs of relief that the bloodletting was over -- for today at least) when the Dow closed down 427 points -- to a level BELOW 8,000 for the first time in over five years. The market's in "critical condition," says Cramer, and likens it to a "hospital emergency room."

Stop Trading: Keep Your Eye on Exxon
Cramer points out an interesting fact to Erin Burnett on Wednesday's "Stop Trading" segment: since Oct 30, ExxonMobil has been a very good indicator of late-afternoon rallies. According to Jim, if XOM is up by 3:30 PM, there will be a rally 90% of the time. He goes as far to say that it may be the only stock worth keeping an eye on to possibly predict market movement -- with the possible exception of Apple.

Voice of Cramerica: Don't "Pin" Your Hopes
We talk about "pin action" a lot on Mad Money, by far our favorite bowling metaphor. In the past, for example, when a big company like Boeing has reported a good quarter or some other piece of good news (not something we've seen much of lately) we look for the pin action off of that -- the companies that make what goes into Boeing's airplanes: Precision Castparts, Honeywell, or United Technologies, to name a few.

Wall of Shame: New Inductee
Here we go again -- another market day that feels more like the latest heart-stopping roller coaster, starting off with a big rally at the opening following Cramer fave Hewlett-Packard's great quarterly numbers. But mid-day, the market drops like a rock, down 372. Finally, in the last hour of trading, we get another "jacked-up happy ending." How are you supposed to be a calm and cool investor in times like these? Well, last night, Cramer talked about how good things can still happen in tough circumstances: namely, his number one Wall-of-Shamer, Jerry Yang, announced he was stepping down as Yahoo CEO, where "he's been like a value wrecking ball."

Stop Trading: A "Horrible Market"
You know it's been a bad Wall Street session when Cramer starts off his "Stop Trading" segment with the blunt comment, "This is a horrible market." He goes on to list the various factors: insurers, banks, retail and minerals (he didn't even mention the autos!).
